This is no ordinary small town, this high-altitude home to over 100 (many award-winning unrivaled) restaurants. Standard method of operation here is to use fresh, local ingredients while providing creative flair to fare. This chic mountain town is also hosting its distinguished 10th annual Food and Wine Classic this July, where many events take place, including local chefs offering bite size samples at the grand tasting event. Delicious.Yes, Park City, Utah is for skiers and snowboarders and those who love the great outdoors, but Park City is also a foodie's haven, or should I say heaven? The city even offers food tours now, where a guide will not only give you a nice background on the history of the area, but allow you to sample fare from 4 or 5 restaurants on Main Street. My only regret is that I only discovered it on the last day. Complimentary smores at the firepit every evening - Bowling in the bar downstairs (and darts, and shuffleboard, and wii, and arcade games) - Free private yoga lesson Whatever you do, definitely order the blackened chicken crepe from the poolside menu. Chef making nachos upon request (it's not on the menu) that were delicious and quick - I broke my girlfriends glasses on the pool deck and next thing we knew a staff member brought out a list of sunglasses vendors in Park city. Some highlights: - Upon departure we were given baseball caps as the doorman noticed we were in a convertible. The people here truly seem to enjoy their work. The attention to detail and enthusiasm (almost bizarrely so) was fantastic. Spent four days here in July and was truly disappointed to leave- and it was a work trip. Sure it's pricey, but the best rarely comes cheaply and quite frankly you get more than your money's worth here. Also the beds were majorly comfy, like sleeping on a cloud. Other than that, the views are fabulous and the place was easy to find and convenient to all kinds of outdoor activities. The one big complaint I have is the $28 overnight valet parking charge that no one informed me of, and seeing as I didn't see any place for self-parking, you basically have no choice but to accept. There was also turn down service as we discovered when returning from our concert. There is a fireplace and TV with DVD player. The room had a balcony, a bathroom with a double sink, soaking tub and double-headed shower. The hotel is only about a 5 minute drive to Park City which makes it very convenient to sightsee. We had a s'mores sundae in the pub and got to have these marshmallows. The hotel has several different places to eat even and including a snack room where they make their own marshmallows. I really wish that I didn't suffer from sometimers and could remember all these peoples names because they really made our stay so wonderful. We found out that we were able to get a shuttle (which turned out to be a Mercedes SUV) to take us to a concert at The Snow Park Amphitheatre and pick us back up. The valet showed up to our room with a bottle of sparkling lemonade and poured us each a glass along with delivering our bags. While walking us to our room, we were told where to find other services in the hotel such as restaurants and the spa. We were greeted by the valet who took our bags and then proceeded inside and we were greeted by one of their front desk people and shown to our room, where the rest of the check-in was finished.
